You Make Everything Brighter – A Story of Love, Wonder & Belonging

This tender picture book by M.H. Clark, illustrated by Olivia Holden, is a poetic celebration of how life transforms the moment a child arrives. Before they were here, there were people to love, hands to hold, friends to cherish — but something was missing. “We needed a you.”

With gentle, lyrical writing and warm, colourful illustrations, this story shows a child just how deeply they matter. It offers a glimpse into the world before they came along — a world perfectly pleasant, yet waiting for the brightness, fullness and joy only they could bring.

Each page becomes an opportunity to tell a child how loved they are, how extraordinary their presence is, and how everyday moments feel more complete simply because they’re in them. It’s a beautiful keepsake for bedtime reading, heartfelt gifting and building emotional connection.
